SECONDHAND
RAILWAYS |
| To
compliment our wide range of new rollingstock we also sell previously
owned rollingstock which apart from the obvious advantage of saving
money you do have the opportunity to purchase items that are no longer
available new. The other feature of buying secondhand is that many of
the items would have lost that 'show room' finish have become weathered;
a feature many modeler are trying to achieve.
The majority of secondhand
available these days is mainly '00' gauge (1:76) but we do get 'N' gauge
(1:148) from time to time but it soon sells.

|

|
Secondhand item
are displayed in a glass cabinet within the shop so the range available
are easily viewed.
As the stock is
changing day by day it is not possible to publish a list, so it is
always best to give us a ring or visit.
|
|
All our secondhand
rollingstock for sale has been inspected and any necessary repairs or
servicing carried out before going on show for sale; however; when
buying secondhand items it must be understood that replacement new parts
may not be available for some items on sale and therefore must be sold
as 'sold as seen' |

|
|

|
All items for sale
are competitively priced and carry a label showing the asking price on
the item. If a box is available the item has an additional label
which correspond to the box safety stored away.
Secondhand items
may not be put 'aside' for purchase later as this is unfair on your
fellow modelers who may have made a special journey to view and
purchase. |
| This
is also a great opportunity to exchange items that you feel no longer
suit your layout because of a change of theme, gauge or era and give one
of your fellow modelers a chance to buy an item that they may have been
looking for to complete their collection
When you bring
items to us they will be valued and you can either exchange for other
items within the shop or simply take a 'fair' cash payment.
Another choose is to put that value into our shop saving account that
can be spent within the shop at a later date.
